Tragic Electrocution Incident During Ganesh Immersion in Mumbai

Fatal Accident During Festival Procession

A tragic incident occurred in Mumbai on Sunday morning when a man lost his life after touching a live electric wire during a procession for the immersion of a Ganesh idol. Reports indicate that the event took place around 10:45 AM on Khairani Road in Sakinaka, Kurla.

The victim, identified as 36-year-old Binu Sukumaran Kumaran, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Seven Hills Hospital. Additionally, five other individuals, including two minors, sustained injuries in the accident.

The injured have been named as Subhanshu Kamat (20), Tushar Gupta (20), Dharmaraj Gupta (49), Karan Kanojia (14), and Anush Gupta (6). They are currently receiving medical care at a different facility and are reported to be in stable condition.
